SGX: Flat on global concerns
SHARES ended nearly flat as most Southeast Asian stock markets retreated yesterday, joining those in broader Asia and global markets.
Concerns over the economic fallout from possible US spending cuts and Italy's political stalemate weighed on global sentiment.
The benchmark Straits Times Index edged down 0.01 per cent, or 0.45 points, to close at 3,269.50.
Singapore Airlines dipped 0.74 per cent to S$10.81 and Singapore Telecom was flat at S$3.44.
The MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was down 0.19 per cent.
