Hong Kong: Flat after morning gains
SHARES ended flat yesterday, giving up most of the morning gains as profit-taking offset a positive lead from Wall Street.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index edged up 16.58 points to 22,953.72.
Sino Biopharmaceutical shares plunged nearly 25 per cent to a half-year low before trading was suspended around midday with the shares down more than 16 per cent.
SmarTone Telecommunications shares closed down 15 per cent at HK$10.36, a nearly two-year low.
China Mobile was down 0.34 per cent at HK$86.85. Agencies
