Hong Kong: Declines by 0.71pc
STOCKS closed 0.71 per cent lower yesterday despite upbeat data from China, which showed manufacturing activity expanded to a seven-month high in October.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index dipped 164.13 points to 22,835.82.
But the data failed to boost market sentiments.
"Investors may need more positive signals to confirm strength in economic growth," Northeast Securities analyst Wang Guobing said.
Country Garden fell 5.4 per cent to HK$5.06, China Overseas Land declined 2.1 per cent to HK$23.15. AFP
