Hong Kong: Biggest loss in 3 weeks
STOCKS shed 1.36 per cent yesterday after worse-than-forecast United States jobs figures indicated a recovery in the world's biggest economy was not as strong as first thought.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index ended down 316.04 points at 22,999.95. It was the biggest one-day loss for three weeks.
After two consecutive weeks of gains, investors in Hong Kong are "looking for an excuse for a correction", said Ben Kwong, chief operating officer at KGI Asia, according to Dow Jones Newswires. AFP
