Singapore: Firmer for 2nd straight day

THE Straits Times Index closed firmer for the second straight session yesterday.

The index rose 0.27 per cent, or 8.83 points, to close at 3,269.95.

The top active stocks were Singtel (-0.87 per cent), GLP (-0.78 per cent), UOB (-0.63 per cent), DBS (+0.07 per cent) and Genting SP (+2.61 per cent).

Jardine Cycle and Carriage gained 0.86 per cent to S$51.60.


Property stocks finished firmer, with City Developments rising four cents to S$11.17, CapitaLand climbing five cents to S$3.91 and Keppel Land adding four cents to S$4.16. Agencies
