KUALA LUMPUR: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua)'s sales rose 5.7 per cent in the first nine months of the year to 147,400 units, thanks to the introduction of the S-Series in March.
It sold 139,400 units in the same period last year.
The S-Series makes up almost 48 per cent of its total sales this year with 40,700 sold since its launch, said Perodua chief operating officer Zahari Husin.
On a quarter-to-quarter basis, sales rose by 8.6 per cent to 50,500 units in the third quarter of this year, compared with 46,500 units previously.
Perodua's sales jumped 26 per cent last month to 17,500 units from 13,900 units in the same month last year.
