Bank targets RM2.5b sales
BANK Simpanan Nasional (BSN) aims to sell RM2.5 billion worth of Sijil Simpanan Premium (SSP) certificates by the end of this year.
Its senior vice-president Akhsan Zaini said BSN has sold more than RM2.2 billion worth of SSP certificates to 1.9 million customers since it was launched 38 years ago.
"BSN is offering an interest rate of 2.24 per cent and 2.0 per cent for 12-month and six-month savings, respectively.
"For civil servants and staff of government-linked companies, we are offering a free SSP certificate for every RM10,000 worth of SSP units purchased," he said after announcing the winners of the September SSP lucky draw last Saturday.
For the grand draw, Akhsan said BSN is offering SSP certificates worth RM1 million, besides vouchers for jewellery and electronic gadgets.
"Besides the Perodua Viva, SSP certificate holders are also entitled to win five Modenas GT128 motorcycles, 10 iPhones and 150 SSP certificates worth RM150 each," he added.
Meanwhile, consistent savings in the form of SSP certifi-cates for the past 20 years fi-nally paid off for Eugene Teo Hung Sir, 28, after he was announced the winner of a Perodua Viva Elite for the September draw.
