SGX: Key index edges higher
THE Straits Times Index (STI) ended 0.97 points, or 0.03 per cent, higher to 3,208.82, taking the year-to-date performance to 1.32 per cent.
The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index appreciated by 0.32 per cent while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index depreciated by 0.18 per cent.
Of the top actives, OCBC Bank rose 0.29 per cent, DBS went up 0.48 per cent, UOB shed 0.10 per cent and Genting SP rose 0.66 per cent.
The outperforming sector was FTSE ST Telecommunications, which closed 0.48 per cent higher. Singapore Telecommunications advanced 0.54 per cent and Starhub lost 0.22 per cent. Agencies
