Singapore: STI climbs 0.53 points
THE FTSE Straits Times Index ended 0.53 points or 0.02 per cent higher to 3,288.13, taking the year-to-date performance to 3.82 per cent.
The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index declined 0.47 per cent while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index appreciated by 0.08 per cent.
Of the active stocks Genting SP added 3.67 per cent, SembMar shed 4.65 per cent, Keppel Corp lost 0.60 per cent, Singtel was unchanged and UOB appreciated by 0.93 per cent.
The outperforming sector was FTSE ST Utilities which gained two per cent. Of the biggest stocks on the index Hyflux rose 2.22 per cent and Gallant added 1.75 per cent. SGX
