KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has secured a government contract worth RM155 million to build the Malaysian embassy complex in Moscow.

In a statement issued yesterday, the group said the contract was awarded to the Bina Puri Sdn Bhd-Beringin Waja consortium by the Public Works Department.

"The complex comprises a chancery block, a 200-seater multi- purpose hall and the ambassador's residence. The interiors will feature Malaysian flavours," said Bina Puri group managing director Tan Sri Tee Hock Seng.

He said with the new deal, Bina Puri's current unbuilt book order stands at RM2.06 billion.

The project, which is slated to be completed within 36 months, is expected to contribute positively to its earnings in the current financial year ending December 31 2013.

Tee said that Bina Puri is actively participating in the tender for several projects in Malaysia and overseas market to replenish its book order.
