AmInvestment is 'Most Outstanding Islamic Investment Bank' again
KUALA LUMPUR: AmInvestment Bank Bhd, for the third time, was honoured as the Most Outstanding Islamic Investment Bank at the recent Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Forum (KLIFF) Awards 2013.
AmInvestment Bank director and head of Islamic Markets Datuk Mohd Effendi Abdullah received the award from Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar.
The bank previously won the award in 2007 and 2010.
"This award is a testament of our commitment and contribution towards the development of Islamic finance, particularly in the Islamic Capital Markets.
"We would also take this opportunity to thank all our clients who have helped AmInvestment Bank to become a success it is today," AmInvestment Bank managing director T. C. Kok said in a statement.
The KLIFF awards acknowledge the significant efforts and contributions by individuals and institutions in developing the Islamic finance industry.
AmInvestment Bank clinched a stable of awards from both the local and international financial press and major rating agencies in recognition of its innovative Islamic transactions.
The bank has been consistently ranked top three in the Bloomberg Underwriter League Table for ringgit-denominated sukuk for the past eight years.
It has also been involved in many landmark transactions and the most recent awards won for outstanding deals by the bank include Best Local Currency Sukuk (DanaInfra Nasional Bhd's RM2.4 billion sukuk) and Best Corporate sukuk (Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Bhd's RM30.6 billion sukuk), both from The Asset Triple A Islamic Finance Awards 2013.
