MSE Kazan transactions hit RM214.6m
KAZAN, Tatarstan: The inaugural Malaysian Services Exhibition (MSE) 2013 in Kazan, Tatarstan on October 3-6 generated potential deals worth RM214.6 million for the 31 Malaysian exhibitors, said Malaysia External Development Corporation (Matrade) Trade Commissioner in Russia, Md. Zainuddin A.
The exhibitors, who included providers of halal services and products, were very satisfied with the good response from local residents and business community, especially in the franchise and business support services segments, and suggested opening an online office in Kazan to facilitate collboration with Malaysian industry players, he said.
"They were fairly excited by the unexpectedly good response, with many saying they wanted to return as a follow up," Md. Zainuddin told Bernama here recently.
He said Matrade would continue to promote Malaysian services in Russia especially in Tatarstan as part of efforts to make Russia an important market.
The good response at the MSE has not only cemented the reputation of Malaysian companies but also enhanced the country's image as a reliable services provider, he added.-- Bernama
