Intel is inside Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab 3
KUALA LUMPUR: Intel Malaysia and Samsung Malaysia Electronics Sdn Bhd have introduced the new Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 10.1 LTE.
The results of the collaboration saw the Galaxy Tab 3 being powered by Intel Atom Z2560 processor which not only gives great performance but also a good battery life.
Intel Malaysia country manager sales and marketing Prakash Mallya said customers today are selecting Intel technology because it offers the best balance of high performance, power efficiency and battery life.
Samsung Malaysia Electronics director of IT and mobile communications Vincent Chong said the partnership allows the company to deliver an innovation with unparalleled performance.
“The tablet seamlessly combines sleek design and enhanced multimedia capabilities for home and family use,” he said in a statement.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is a tablet equipped with a 1280 x 800 resolutions 10.1-inch display, 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage memory.
It runs on the dual-core Intel Atom SoC (codenamed “Clover Trail+”), touted to provide three times more graphics capabilities and double the computing performance from previous generations of Intel Atom processors platform.
The tablet will be available for purchase this week in two variants — the LTE variant retailing for RM1,599 and the Wi-Fi only variant coming in at a cheaper RM1,299.
