KLCI futures close slightly easier
The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed slightly easier today in
line with lower cash market.
Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd Dealer, Tan Sek Wei, said the FBM KLCI futures ended almost flat today with cash market slipped 0.09 per cent.
"But for the week, September 2013 contracts were up almost 50 points. Most of the regional markets ended lower today," he told Bernama.
After the recent pause in the rally, he said, the bulls and bears were ready for the next round.
At the close, September 2013 was unchanged at 1,765, October 2013 slipped one point to 1,765, December 2013 declined 5.5 points to 1,760 and March 2014 decreased 3.5 points to 1,750.
Turnover rose to 7,239 lots from 6,086 lots yesterday while open interest rose to 50,266 contracts from 49,424 contracts Thursday.
As for the underlying FBM KLCI, it declined 1.6 points to 1,770.8, the highest level today.-- Bernama
