Deal Mates Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Catcha Group Sdn Bhd, expects to achieve RM5 million in revenue by year-end through its new website, GoMummy.my.
GoMummy.my is the first parenting website in Malaysia using the flash sale model which offers a range of parenting and baby products.
It is a "spin-off" of its "Mums & Kids" category into a standalone website offering merchandise for babies, children and mothers.
Its General Manager, Ben Cadman told Bernama the "Mums & Kids" category has been contributing between 15 to 20 per cent of revenue since commencing operations in February this year.
Cadman said the revenue generated to Deal Mates is only five per cent of the total product offerings on the site.
"Deal Mates recognises the high demand and potential for growth, as well as the limited competition in the industry.
"Since there is always a high demand for parenting and baby products on Deal mates, we believe GoMummy.my has the potential to grow into a very successful standalone business.
"We have witnessed a hugely successful Mother & Kids flash sale sites in other markets and Malaysia is no different," he added.
He said the parenthood retail space is forever increasing and mothers are always on the lookout out for a great product saving as the cost of raising children increases each year.
"With GoMummy.my, we will be bringing something new to the Malaysian retail space with the only website of its kind, catering to bringing great discounts to mothers and their families," he added.
Cadman said GoMummy.my caters to the needs of newborn babies and toddlers, children and parents.
Products such as baby bottles, strollers, educational toys and carseats alongside others products are constantly featured on the site, not forgetting treats for mothers as well.
Gomummy.my is also donating RM1 from every purchase to a local children’s charity.-- Bernama
