KUB Malaysia posts pre-tax loss
KUB Malaysia Bhd recorded a pre-tax loss of RM16.39 million for financial year ended December 31, 2012 compared with RM51.20
million pre-tax loss in the same period of 2011.
Its revenue, however, rose to RM826.42 million from RM708.45 million previously, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
KUB said the loss for the current period was mainly due to non-performing food and beverage outlets and the delay in project execution.
On prospects, KUB said in light of the global economic uncertainties, which may have an impact to the group's business, the board would continue to exercise caution in managing the business going forward.
"The directors are of the view that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the group is expected to be profitable in the next financial year," it said. -- Bernama
