UDA appoints new Group COO

UDA Holdings Bhd has appointed Mohd Azmil Abd Shukor as its group chief operating officer effective February 15 this year.

In a statement today, UDA Holdings said the profile of Mohd Azmil as the group COO would cover property development under subsidiary company, UDA Land Sdn Bhd, as well as property management, coordination of facilities and also special projects such as the development of Bukit Bintang town centre.

Prior to his appointment, Mohd Azmil served as a project manager in Dubai for a NASDEC listed consultancy company, as well as the operations director of a property development company fully owned by a bank in Bahrain and as development director of a property company in Azerbaijan.

The last three years, he had also served UEM Land Bhd, specifically in the development of Bandar Nusajaya in his capacity as senior general manager.

Mohd Azmil brings with him more than 20 years experience in the area of project management, construction and development of properties encompassing the sectors of town planning and infrastructure, housing, heavy industries, commercial as well as open areas and public facilities.

Mohd Azmil has a Bachelor (With Hons) Architecture degree from the University of Nottingham as well as a BSC (Hons) degree in Architecture from University of East London, United Kingdom.-- Bernama
