Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd expects good sales for its reformulated and repackaged Antabax range of anti-bacterial personal care products.

Its marketing manager, Carmen Foo, said the company has invested a lot in the brand and expected the rebranding and reformulation exercise to bring in excellent returns.

"Extensive consumer research and market trend studies were conducted for more than two years to enhance the products to suit the evolving needs and demands of today’s customers.

"Based on research results, the new range was improved to fulfil consumer's needs by providing anti-bacterial protection, skin vitamins and moisturizers, and refreshing fragrances," she said at the launch of the products in Kuala Lumpur today.

Lam Soon, a manufacturer of foods, household and personal care goods in Malaysia since the 1950s, released the Antabax range in 2004.

Since then, Antabax has quickly grown into a consumer favourite, she said.

"With time all products must evolve to make the best of advances in technology and to fulfil the needs of users.

"We felt it is time to uplift the formulation, the look and the feel of the brand to better reflect its growing popularity in the market," she said.

The new range consists of bar soap, shower cream, hand soap, cleansing wipes, hand sanitizer and a hand sanitizer spray and are halal.

At the function, actress, singer, entertainer and entrepreneur, Ziana Zain, was named Antabax's brand ambassador. -- BERNAMA
