Fauzi is new Uni.Asia CEO

UNI.ASIA General Insurance Bhd has appointed Mohd Fauzi Yaakub as its chief executive officer effective December 11, 2008.

Fauzi was previously the company's chief operating officer.

Fauzi will devote his attention to directing the expansion opportunities for various distribution channels, strengthening the agency force and overseeing operational practices and growth, the company said in a statement.

"We already have a strong presence nationwide and my aim is to consolidate this position and to further establish Uni.Asia General as a company that centres everything on our customers," Fauzi said.
