MOBILE phone operator Maxis Bhd (6012) expects to have some 30,000 customers by the end of the year for its latest service that can help them cut costs while making it easier for them to communicate.
So far, some 1,300 clients, mostly small- and medium-sized enterprises, have signed up for the service, called Unity Solutions, since its soft launch in December, said vice- president and head of enterprise Fitri Abdullah.
"We also plan to roll out four more packages this year on top of (current) packages which include Unity Conferencing, Unity Hotline, Unity One Number and Unity Reception," he said at a media briefing in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Unity Solutions offers seamless connectivity across different systems, devices and applications, enabling businesses to manage their employees and attend to customers anywhere and at any time.
For example, the service allows for a conference call among 10 people who are outside the office.
The service is mainly for small and medium businesses, but large enterprises and multinational corporations can also use it.
This is because of high mobile penetration reaching across extensive networks and the increasing focus of business on customer interactivity.
Customers can choose and customise from the four packages according to their specific requirements.
