TENAGA Nasional Bhd (TNB) chief executive Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh has said that reports of his departure to national oil corporation Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) are rumours, but stopped short of a denial.
"Malaysia has too many rumours. Let's concentrate on serious work. Enough of the rumours," Che Khalib told a news conference on TNB's efforts to reinforce the national power grid in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Che Khalib is among a few names said to be eyeing the top job at Petronas, replacing president and chief executive officer Tan Sri Mohamad Hassan Marican.
Che Khalib is now halfway into his yearly contract extension with TNB, people close to the utility company said.
