Peugeot Blue Box in Kedah

NASIM Sdn Bhd, official distributor for Peugeot in Malaysia, has opened the Peugeot Blue Box in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

This is part of a network expansion drive that has yielded five new outlets in 2011, the company said.

Nasim chief operating officer Datuk Samson Anand George said of the five outlets, four were dealerships, indicating the level of confidence investors have in the Peugeot brand.

"The Peugeot brand has been one of the fastest-growing brands in Malaysia this year. In order for us to boost this growth, it is imperative for us to bring Peugeot to new markets," he said in a statement yesterday.

The newly-launched 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centre will enable Nasim to tap the car market in Kedah and expand Peugeot's sales nationwide.

The Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani is owned and operated by Le French Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, which is a unit of the Chye Seng Group of Companies.

The other new facilities are in Malacca, Kota Baru, Balakong and Kota Kinabalu.

As at end-November this year, Nasim sold 4,949 units of Peugeot, up 92 per cent from the same period last year.

The Blue Box in Sungai Petani will carry the latest Peugeot models, and can service up to six vehicles daily.

To date, Nasim has 12 3S centres nationwide.
