More than 10 applicants have been accepted to be trained while over 60 will be assessed, says 7-Eleven Malaysia
7-ELEVEN Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a convenience store operator, said aspiring entrepreneurs responded warmly to its franchise plan launched recently.
More than 10 applicants have been accepted to be trained while over 60 will be assessed, after the buzz generated at the recent Franchise International Malaysia exhibition, executive director Ng Su Onn said.
"The franchise programme is based on profit-sharing with our franchisees and we do not collect any royalty, marketing distribution or service fees," Ng said in a press statement.
However, potential franchisees need to invest RM250,000 in initial franchise fee, a 10-year licence fee and a refundable security deposit.
The programme is open to all Malaysians aged between 25 and 60 years with minimum SPM qualifications.
7-Eleven Malaysia last week launched the Lifestyle Bonanza SMS Contest in conjunction with the Ramadhan and Hari Raya celebration. The contest will end on October 11 and there are a total of RM80,000 worth of daily prizes.
"Following the overwhelming response from previous Win & Drive Contest where we offered a car as the grand prize, we are pleased to reward customers with a bigger car this time, an MPV for the travelling comfort of the entire family," Ng said.
"On top of that, we have RM5,000 Singer home shopping voucher for two first prize winners whereby winners can choose their own home appliances from Singer," he added.
Other prizes include iPod touch, Sony PSP, Borders book vouchers, Celcom's prepaid airtime, Kenny Rogers Roasters meal vouchers and Starbucks beverage vouchers.
The company yesterday wrapped up a four-day roadshow held in Berjaya Times Square where there were various promotional activities including lucky draws and free gifts.
