The US-based franchise of women health and wellness centres plans to expand its business in Malaysia and help more women start their own business

CONTOURS Express, a US-based franchise of women health and wellness centres, is opening up opportunities for aspiring local franchisees.

The company will be meeting with entrepreneurs interested to be its franchisees in a two-day business matching event organised by the US Commerce Service of the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur today and tomorrow.

With premises of about 1,200 sq ft in housing estates and one or two staff, aspiring Countours Express business partners can enjoy steady stream of good returns with low operating costs.

"Basically, it is a cosy studio for women only, providing a lifestyle programme that incorporates a unique express workout, weight management and lifestyle modification coaching dedicated to helping women look good and feel good about themselves," Contours Express founder and president Daren Carter said in a statement.

Chong Wan Kit, Contours Express master franchisee for Singapore and representative for Malaysia, said the company's plan is to expand the business in Malaysia and help more women start their own business.

She said Contours Express has developed a proven business model that recognises the needs of women and supports their franchisees with the knowledge, resources and techniques necessary to run a successful "women only" health and wellness centre.
