Honda models, sold in Malaysia since 2001, are not affected by the Honda Motor Co's recall of defective supplemental restraint system (SRS) airbags in other countries.
This announcement follows the decision by the Honda Motor Co to expand the recall of Honda cars mainly from the United States, Canada and Japan, after reported incidents of airbag failure.
In a statement issued by the company in Kuala Lumpur today, it said, the total number of vehicles subject to the expanded recall, was 437,763 units worldwide.
The company also said the inflator in the driver's SRS airbag of vehicles subject to the recall, would be replaced. -- BERNAMA
