GIIG Holdings Sdn Bhd and Aluminum Corp of China Ltd agreed to jointly develop and operate an aluminum smelter plant in Sarawak at a cost of US$1 billion.
The smelter will be developed by Smelter Asia Sdn Bhd and will have an annual production capacity of about 330,000 metric tons, GIIG said in a statement today. -- Bloomberg
