SANTIAGO : Chile’s flagship airline LAN said on Wednesday it has agreed to purchase 30 new Airbus A320 short- haul planes worth around US$1.97 billion (US$1 = RM3.43) as part of a programme to renew its fleet.
LAN said in a statement the new planes would be added to its fleet between 2011 and 2016.
LAN said it will sell five Airbus A318 planes during 2011 as part of its fleet upgrade programme. — Reuters
