MALAYSIA'S vehicle sales fell 13 per cent in October from a year earlier, as demand slumped amid the global economic slowdown, the Malaysian Automotive Association said.
Sales of cars, vans and sport-utility vehicles dropped to 37,512 last month from 42,915 a year earlier, the Petaling Jaya, Malaysia-based association said in a faxed statement today.
Sales in November will be “maintained,” as demand will hold up during the year-end festivities, it said.
