AirAsia offers free seats for long-haul routes

The offer will be available online starting May 14-16, says the budget carrier

AIRASIA Bhd is offering free seats, including the routes serviced by its long-haul low-cost affiliate, AirAsia X, for the travel period between January 12 and April 30, 2009.

In a statement today, AirAsia said the offer would be available online starting May 14-16 and would involve all its six hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Jakarta and Bangkok.

AirAsia said the campaign included over 100 routes in Asean and China network, including AirAsia X’s destinations.

"Some of the international destinations and which the company flies directly from Kuala Lumpur are Krabi, Chiang Mai, Shenzhen, Bandung and Vientiane. Others include Bali, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Siem Reap and Singapore.

"New destinations like Hong Kong, Haikou, Ho Chi Minh alongside Gold Coast, Australia and Hangzhou, China are also included,” it said. — Bernama
