SHARE prices closed up 0.64 per cent yesterday on lower oil prices and strong gains in Shanghai bourse, dealers said.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 139.47 points to 21,874.19.

ICEA Securities strategist Ernie Hon told Dow Jones Newswires that he believed the current rebound would continue in the short term amid a wave of short -covering. - AFP
